The Sun Fire E2900 Server is a high-performance, rack-optimized server ideal for a wide range of compute-intensive applications.
Scaling up to 12 UltraSPARC IV processors with chip multithreading technology executing 24 simultaneous computing threads, the E2900 also offers advanced features including Dynamic Reconfiguration for hot swapping processor/memory boards.
The E2900 server protects your investment with the ability to mix and manage UltraSPARC IV and UltraSPARC III processors- running at their rated speeds - in the same system.
