x3650 M2 Servers

Designed for the enterprise environments of small to medium-sized businesses, IMB System x3650 M2 servers cut overall operating expenses by optimizing the computer performance per watt with their Energy Smart design. Configured in a dense, 2U form factor, x3650 M2 servers are highly flexible, which allows for easy deployment, integration and management. With the advantage of being built upon an IBM X Architecture, x3650 M2 servers are exceptionally resilient and well-equipped for comprehensive risk management. Capable of providing top-of-the-line virtualization, IBM x3650 M2 rack servers can be equipped with an optional VMware embedded hypervisor, with the benefits of virtualization including increased energy efficiency, reduced operational expenses and a significant reduction in the amount of physical space required. Another way that System x 3650 M2 servers conserve energy is through the integration of low-wattage components, which allow this particular IBM rack server to keep an energy-efficient thermal profile.

Able to support a wide range of operating systems, IBM System x3650 M2 servers offer the customer many choices in their configuration, with high scalability to expand along with business growth. For instance, the memory capacity of x3650 M2 servers can be equipped with 16 Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) slots and while it starts at 1 Gigabyte (GB), can be scaled all the way up to a maximum of 128 GB of energy-efficient Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory. And the internal storage capacity is highly flexible as well, changing depending on the type of hard disk drive that you choose. While the hot swappable Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) hard drives can have a maximum internal storage capacity of 3.6 Terabytes (TB), Solid State Drives (SSD) only have a maximum of 600 GB. Additional options that the IBM x3650 M2 rack servers provide include a choice of 1 or 2 Intel Xeon 5500 series processors, with 2 or
